| BUILDING A HEALTHIER DC Thank you to all of those who made DC Appleseed's 2009 Awards Dinner a huge success as we recognized the contributions of three individuals: Alice Rivlin, Eleanor Holmes Norton and Sharon Baskerville. We also honored three law firms; Arent Fox, Covington & Burling and Harkins Cunningham, and the non-profit Our Nation's Capital.

We are delighted that so many firms and individuals purchased tickets to the dinner during these difficult economic times. DC APPLESEED NEEDS YOUR HELP Right now, our work is needed more than ever. But like everyone else DC Appleseed has also been challenged by the recession. Despite the generosity of our supporters, we were not able to meet the budget target we set for our dinner. We are $10,000 short of our goal. Even a few dollars from you can make a big difference in making sure DC Appleseed's work continues at its current level. And because of the considerable pro bono support we receive, every dollar that is donated we effectively turn into three dollars of work done to solve DC's problems.
