About The Project
It is important for individuals to have information about options for end-of-life medical care so that they can make informed decisions about what type of care they would like to receive. Without advanced planning, an individual’s care is not discussed until the patient is facing a medical crisis or imminent death. Without a plan in place, the opportunity for thoughtful decision making has been lost. DC Appleseed is working to improve DC residents’ opportunities to make timely, informed choices about the nature of care they will receive in those difficult situations. We also seek to improve the medical community’s ability to respond to these choices.
