Managing Stormwater Pollution

About The Project

Managing Stormwater Pollution in the District of Columbia: A Lasting Approach, released April 1999, recommends the adoption of management and finance systems that will enable the District to reduce stormwater pollution as required by federal law and, thus, improve the quality of the District's waterways.  Several of DC Appleseed's recommendations were adopted by the Council and Mayor and enacted into legislation which became effective June 9, 2001.
